Definitions












Stereotype-A stereotype is used to categorize a group of people. People don't understand that type of person, so they put them into classifications, thinking that everyone who is that needs to be like that, or anyone who acts like their classifications is one.


Representation -The act of representing, in any sense of the verb. Representation is what the audience recognise to be something, also something that formularizes them.







Ideology -An ideology is a set of ideas that constitutes one's goals, expectations, and actions.An ideology can be thought of as a comprehensive vision, as a way of looking at things. as in common sense
hegemony-
The predominant influence, as of a state, region, or group, over another or others
